meet marisa+matt, a super fun couple who we are now glad to call friends. for their engagement shoot, they introduced us to a little hidden nook called townsends inlet. it is located at the end of sea isle city by the bridge that leads over to avalon. it was awesome to have this spot all to ourselves for the afternoon.

marisa+matt are definitely the life of the party. after being told some hilarious stories about their ventures with friends, we have no doubt they know how to have a good time. we are currently trying to get an invite to their next crab-a-palooza for summer 2012. we will be more then happy to document the epic event.  (:

if you don’t already know, lauren and i absolutely love photographing in natural light.  september weddings can be a perfect opportunity for some amazing weather here in south jersey.  that’s exactly what happened on maureen+steve’s wedding day which started out in the beach community of sea isle city at saint joseph’s church.  after their delightful wedding ceremony we all headed to the avalon beach for some fun bridal party pictures on the sand.  one of the highlights of the day is when we stopped by the beach bar called the carousel in sea isle to meet up with many of the wedding guests before the reception.  the carousel is a local hang out attached to the springfield inn and it is also the location where maureen+steve first met.  does it get any cooler than that?  the celebration concluded in somers point nj at the greate bay country club.  it was such an amazing day full of smiles and laughter.

maureen+steve, you are truly awesome people.  you two seem beyond happy together and a perfect match.  it felt like we have all been friends for years.  let us know next time you guys are hanging out at the carousel, we will meet you there.  (: enjoy.

little mellow yellow wedding | chrissy+kevin

how do you plan a small intimate wedding with your closest friends and family?  my suggestion would be to contact chrissy and kevin because they got it right.  their ceremony was held under the boardwalk pavilion in sea isle city, nj over looking the ocean.  the private reception was just steps away at vinces’s restaurant.  many of the details of their wedding day were hand crafted, unique ideas from chrissy + kevin.  lauren and i were pleasantly surprised to walk into their reception and notice the photo booth filled with guests enjoying a few happy minutes of “goofy time” in front of the lens.  it also brought back great memories from our own wedding and the fun times we had with our vintage black & white photo booth.  here is a link to the company that we both used if you’re interested in a photo booth for yourself:  (classic photo booths)

i also love it when our couples have a distinct color theme and style to their wedding day.  chrissy + kevin opted for bright yellow and it was bold and beautiful.  loved it!  you guys rock.  enjoy.
