lisa+matt were a little worried that it would be raining on their wedding day because they really wanted the city of philadelphia to be the backdrop of their wedding photos. we actually had a phone conversation with lisa a few days prior and suggested for her to grab some cool rain boots and umbrellas, just in case. well, wedding day came and on our drive up to the city to meet lisa+matt at the omni hotel at independence park, it was a full on downpour – unfortunately, no umbrella or rain boots were going to be able to tame this beast. all of our plans to be outside exploring the urban landscape were slowly washing away.
we are not sure how it all happened but for some reason the weather gods decided it would be funny to downpour every second we were indoors (like getting ready at the omni hotel, during the church ceremony at old saint mary and that evening at the atrium in the curtis center for reception). thankfully, every moment we walked outside the skies would part and provide us with perfect sunshine. (:
lisa+matt, you guys are amazing people that we are thrilled to call friends. thanks for being beyond willing to explore philly with us… you introduced us to some new awesome locations, just like you did during your engagement shoot in philly last fall (: keep on smiling, you guys are greatness!
