after hanging with jessica+dave on their engagement shoot in ocean city last year, i was pretty sure their wedding day was going to be totally fun-packed with great moments throughout. lauren and i definitely didn’t know what was to come and we were pleasantly surprised on how it all went down in the end. to be perfectly honest, the weather was a complete disaster. (: luckily for us, jessica+dave and their entire wedding party didn’t let that ruin their big day. they all rose to the occasion and made it the most entertaining wedding portrait session i think we ever photographed.
i’m not sure what details i liked most while lauren & i photographed the girls getting ready at the house. it’s a toss up between dave’s frig wishes on the dry erase board, his bull dog greeting card, the girls champagne glasses of doom, or their hypnotic cat that looks like the pringles potato chip man.
oh yeah, i almost forgot about jess’s wedding shoes in the leopard lizard tank. now that’s a classic.
the next photo is jess attempting to navigate a path to the inside of the limo bus without walking through the mudding lawn on the passengers side. unfortunately, she couldn’t squeeze through the cars without rubbing up against them with her wedding dress. she eventually ended up just tip toeing through the soaked grass.
the original plan for the day was to take all the portraits at the grounds of the historic allaire village just outside of their wedding chapel. the weather had different plans however – which forced us to take over the freehold raceway mall.
after our crazy portrait session at the mall we were ready for more craziness on the dance floor at their reception held at the versailles ballroom of the ramada inn of toms river nj.
