we can immediately tell from our first conversation with a client if our photography style is the right match for what they envision. to be completely honest we have actually had to turn down some jobs in the past because the clients were asking for something a little too traditional or posed for our taste. that’s totally fine, we just refer them to a photographer friend of ours that would be happy to capture what they are looking for. can we shoot an awesome photo of your family on the beach all wearing white shirts and khaki pants? sure, technically speaking we could, although i’m not sure how “awesome” it would be. lets think about how many times in your life you would go out in public dressed identical to your mother or father. not very often, right?
lucky for us the scarborough family was the right fit. they contacted us a few months ago to do a modern family portrait session in ocean city, nj with their two adorable kids. kelly, the mommy of these wonderful kids shares the same birthday as myself. that automatically means she is awesome sauce in my book. (: the agenda for the shoot was to capture photos of “a day in the life” of her kids at the playground and around the house. kelly, we hope you and your family are thrilled with these images today and one day in the future, maybe when your kids are graduating high school or moving into their first apartment away from home, you will look back at the photos and re-live their innocence at this special time in their life. i know i will be doing the same thing with the photos i take of my kids. enjoy.
