the first two pictures in this blog post are of me as i attempted to photograph isabella outside of her family’s amazing home in egg harbor township, nj. the funny thing is that isabella actually took those two photos herself while my wife lauren and her were messing around with lauren’s camera. some photographers may ask, “how could you let a 3 year old handle a camera that costs thousands of dollars?” i guess the simple answer is because we love kids and we know it makes them happy. it is actually not uncommon for us to let the kids that we are photographing take a few pictures on their own during our shoots, we feel like it helps them get into a fun mood for their session and it helps them feel involved. occasionally someone like isabella comes around and happens to snag a shot of me in action that i very much dig. (:
you may remember the d’agostino family from their recent wedding at flanders hotel in ocean city that i photographed in august. you can check out their amazing wedding photos here if you need a refresher. this session was part of their wedding package when they booked with us and it turned out to be a little bit : engagement/family/post wedding portraits all in one, which was very cool. mariealena also surprised us with a fresh new hair style that lauren and i couldn’t help but complement her on, it looks so stylin’ and hip. her new fashion look goes very well with her creativity and designer instinct. you should check out some of her wonderful jewelry creations over on her website: isabella’s beads
